A permanent resident of one of the Dragon’s few guest rooms, he is very rarely seen to leave it.
He exudes a natural charisma which breaks through his less than pleasing appearance, and the unfortunate body odour which is noticeable even over the usual inclement smell of the tavern’s regular clientele.
An astute observer will notice that his eyes are
forever sharp and attentive, and possess a certain air of spite that belies his otherwise polite and calm demeanour.
To those involved in the Suiddock underworld, he is a man of power who is not to be crossed. Grossbart sits at the head of an organisation of racketeers, smugglers, and drug dealers who work the length of Suiddock (including Titus), ruling the Luydenhoek Stretch in person with his crew, which keeps a relative low profile.
Only Rolf Plugge and Fredje Gustaaf are regularly seen at the Long Dragon.
Grossbarts plans were discovered by Rikkert's crew, and the decision was made by Titus to move in and take the old man out. Rikkert's crew was sent out and discovered there was more to the old geezer than met the eye. After a hard fight, they were able to overcome Grossbart, resulting in Titus' takeover as Captain of Suiddock.
